We are excited to share that we were invited to help out during the community paint day for the University Park Creative Arts road mural! In collaboration with the University Park Creative Arts School art department and led by local artist Bunny Gregory, the University Park community came together to paint a brand new road mural at the entrance to the school.

Transcribing Bunny Gregory’s design onto the asphalt.
The artwork, created by Bunny, is titled Painting a Path to the Future. The design features art and drama inspired motifs, including the comedy and tragedy masks, a dancer, an oversized paintbrush, among others. Early morning volunteers helped prepare the asphalt surface by removing debris and laying out the workspace. Bunny and volunteers from Place& helped transcribe the artwork from diagrams onto the road.

Vibrant colors applied to the mural.
Local residents and students quickly jumped in to help add splashes of color to the mural!

Volunteers helping fill in all the shapes.
The completed mural can be seen at the entrance to the University Park Creative Arts school at the end of Hildebrand Street. We are so grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this wonderful project, and hope that this mural inspires everyone who sees it!

Many thanks to Ché Abdullah for inviting us to this event. A special thanks to the students of University Park Creative Arts and Ms. Loop for their kindness, and thanks to Bunny Gregory for letting us help bring her design to life.
